maybe this belongs on the 10tapes subpage of this website, but fuck it. i wanna put it here instead.

so when i was running my ARG 10 tapes, i had no real prior experience with having eyes on anything i do. it was my first run in with the concept of being an "online personality". this meant that all those things i had thought over the years about how i would do stuff differently suddenly had a chance to happen.

one such thing was that i always thought that IF i for some reason were to sell merch, i would both sell "normal" merch AND handmade unique items for those who like to collect stuff.

so i did that twice (as far as i can remember atleast) for 10tapes. one was a series of thrift shop/second hand clothes with iron-on-prints (maybe ill get around to post those on here too eventually), and the other one was "sounds of X, vol. 1".

sounds of X vol. 1 was a limited release of 3 unique cassette tapes. side A contained an audio collage of all the various weird glitchy sounds and distorted background music that had been featured in 10tapes. it had a runtime of about 20-30 minutes, if im not misremembering, and it was absolutely unlistenable (unless youre the type of person who is into merzbow, i guess). maybe at some point ill dig around to see if i can find it and put it on this page for anyone that wants to hear it, but for now it exists only with those 3 lucky buyers.

the B-side of each tape contained a personalized audio message to the buyer. i honestly have no recollection of what i mightve said on those, but i do remember asking the buyers to not publish those audios anywhere, so as long as they respect my wish, those messages can be considered lost media.

that's all i had on this topic. i just found some photos on an old harddrive that i took when putting the tapes up for sale, and wanted to share them.
